Madeth Gray'll

One of my favorite old-school Jrock bands, as well as being my first, Madeth Gray'll is probably one of the most well-known of the old VK bands on the Matina Label. Their style ranges from haunting to crazy and their appearance has become a stable in kote-kei classics. Their vocalist has kind of a weird voice that takes a little time to get used to but he does use it in very interesting ways. For example, several songs have gang-vocals throughout the song while other songs contain sadistic laughter and sometimes it kind of sounds like he's being electrocuted. Like many other Matina bands, the earlier releases by Madeth Gray'll have demo-tape quality. Their most popular songs include "Lucifer," (which was later redone by Schwardix Marvally) "Missantroop," and "Enith de Marge." Once you get a liking for this band I'll have to admit they can get a bit addicting.
